I grew up in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, Michigan. I wrote my first short story at 8, was published at 10, won several Detroit Scholastic Writing Awards at 15 and a creative writing college scholarship at 18. At 20 I was crowned Miss Southfield and was honored with the prestigious Hopwood Writing Award from the University of Michigan for a short story and radio play which was produced on WUOM radio. At 22, Ms. I wrote, directed and produced the musical, “Ichabod,” in Los Angeles to rave reviews. A published award-winning writer, editor, consultant, publicist, instructor and screenwriter, I worked in radio, television and stage production, writing, producing and directing. I am CEO of Sunrise Productions, editor of Dan Martin’s books and his latest, “Breaking the Grid,” by Familius Publishers, as well as Creative Communications Director and Spokesperson for the Free Food Factory – www.gofundme/freefoodfactory.
